A FAMILY HISTORY
Since Harry Ross opened a small butchers shop in Ryde in 1947, the business has expanded & evolved under the Ross name, with Steve & Caroline Ross at the forefront of the business today. Joining straight from school, Managing Director Steve started out in the butchery & stores & has developed the business model from a butchery to a catering business, with Caroline raising the standards & focusing our drive towards our innovative & ethical future.
We have never lost sight of this & continue to create jobs for local, hard working people in our community – some of who have been here for over 30 years! Our Operations Director, Cory, started out as a delivery driver!

We are a firm believer in supporting local produce & are members of both Hampshire Fare & Wight Marque, which enables us to compete with national companies in a competitive market place.

Medina are accredited by SALSA, demonstrating that we follow the best
practices regarding food safety.
We are the Island’s only butchery to receive SALSA certification.
